Over the past nine months, there is no denying that The Judgment Day has risen to the top as a leading heel faction within WWE's main roster. Each member has played a pivotal role in this rise to fame, but many credits the development of Dominik Mysterio since his induction into the group last year as a critical factor in their success.
Recently, Damian Priest appeared on the podcast "After the Bell with Corey Graves" to discuss the growth of his young cohort since Dominik's significant turn at the 2022 Clash at the Castle event. "At the beginning of his time with The Judgment Day, Dominik was still somewhat under the influence of his father's legacy," Priest conceded.
"That's no longer the case. He's become a star in his own right and doesn't rely on anyone else for support."
Dominik Mysterio's Impactful Growth
Priest described how Dominik's distinctive character enhanced the group and facilitated a shift in the group's overall dynamic.
He said, "Dominik's unique style and presence provide us with a fresh energy to draw from, enabling us to forge something truly remarkable. His contribution to Judgment Day is now invaluable. Frankly, without Dom, we wouldn't be as formidable." The bond between Priest and Dominik has evolved in and out of the ring since Mysterio became part of Judgment Day.
Priest shared, "Dominik has matured not only as an entertainer but also as an individual. Our relationship has developed to the point where we now consider each other family." He added, "I am extremely proud of him, not just as a friend and brother, but also as a fellow professional." Although Priest experienced a significant loss to Bad Bunny in a crucial match, he remains focused on future opportunities, such as participating in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
As The Judgment Day continues to make waves in WWE, fans eagerly await their next move, with the spotlight firmly on Dominik Mysterio's continued evolution.
