This past Monday, the wrestling scene was abuzz with excitement as Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, two esteemed performers, graced the WWE Raw event. However, amidst the electrifying spectacle, there were rumblings of potential changes.

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, commentator Dave Meltzer unveiled news that could significantly alter the wrestling landscape. Rousey and Baszler were initially earmarked to clinch the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39.

This victory was conceived as a cornerstone of a broader narrative arc involving Rousey. Yet, in a twist of events, the duo triumphed in a four-way tag team showcase, diverging from the original script. Meanwhile, the tag championship remained with the pair of Becky Lynch and Lita, who defended it in a six-woman tag match.

Rousey's Hiatus Sparks WWE Uncertainty

Adding to the intrigue, Meltzer further disclosed that Rousey was scheduled for a hiatus from the WWE, likely post-WrestleMania. The storyline with Baszler was designed to reach its culmination before Rousey's break.

This revelation begets many questions concerning Rousey's departure timing and its potential implications for the tag team narrative. Of particular interest is the status of Liv Morgan, who may need to step up and defend the titles alongside Raquel Rodriguez.

While the WWE has kept mum about the forthcoming title match at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, the current buzz suggests that this might be the event where Rousey and Baszler are staking their claim. Further compounding the situation, Rousey was notably absent from performing at WrestleMania while battling an arm injury.

Instead, Baszler, her tag team partner, held the fort despite sustaining a foot injury. Despite their absence, WWE's management saw it fit to draft the pair from "SmackDown" to "Raw". Earlier reports suggest that Rousey was keen to transition to the tag division alongside Baszler following her stint with the "SmackDown" Women's Championship.

It remains to be seen how these shifting dynamics within the WWE will unfold in the coming weeks and how it will impact the highly anticipated events on the wrestling calendar.
