In an exciting announcement, a renowned ex-WWE star is poised to make a dramatic entrance into All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) flagship event, Dynamite. The wrestler is gearing up to command the ring and make his mark in the heart of Sin City, Las Vegas, as he seeks to clinch a golden victory.
The high-stakes event, Double Or Nothing, is slated for May 28th in Las Vegas. However, before this marquee event, AEW will stage its midweek spectacle, Dynamite, on May 24th in the same glitzy city.
Former WWE Star Joins Trio Challenge
Adding to the excitement, AEW Trios Champions, The House of Black - consisting of Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews - have boldly invited any triad that dares to challenge their reign.
They've flung open the doors to their metaphorical house, ready to defend their title. AR Fox, Blake Christian, and Metalik, a dynamic trio renowned for their solid teamwork in Ring of Honor, are stepping up to this electrifying challenge on Dynamite.
The upcoming event holds special significance as it marks Metalik's AEW Dynamite debut after his impressive performance in three matches at AEW's Dark and Elevation shows in 2022 under his nom de guerre, Mascara Dorada. Metalik, famously recognized as Gran Metalik during his tenure at WWE, was a crucial part of the Lucha House Party alongside Kalisto and Lince Dorado.
Despite his significant contribution to WWE's cruiserweight division, Metalik parted ways with the company in November 2021. His compatriot, Blake Christian, also brings a rich wrestling pedigree to the AEW ring. Known as Trey Baxter during his stint at WWE, Christian was part of the NXT and 205 Live rosters.
Interestingly, he and Metalik ended their WWE careers on the same day and have since been inseparable, further strengthening their bond as tag team partners. The upcoming Dynamite event promises thrilling competition as this former WWE star prepares to make his explosive debut.
