Tonight's WWE Raw Features Money in The Bank Qualifying Matches

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced via Twitter this morning that the much-anticipated Money in the Bank qualifying matches will kick off tonight during the May 29 edition of "WWE Raw." The event is set to take place at the prestigious MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

The excitement is further amplified by the intriguing mystery surrounding the participants' identities, which the WWE, in its characteristic style, has refrained from revealing. In contrast, this Friday's "WWE SmackDown" line-up is relatively more transparent.

LA Knight is set to square off against Montez Ford, while Zelina Vega is slated to meet Lacey Evans in their respective qualifying bouts, as confirmed last week.

Liv Morgan Sidelined by Injury

However, one notable absence from the women's line-up will be Liv Morgan, last year's Money in the Bank victor.

A shoulder injury has unfortunately side-lined Morgan, forcing her and Raquel Rodriguez to forfeit their WWE Women's Tag Team Championships recently. The prognosis on Morgan's injury was grimmer than initially anticipated, and there's a chance she might need to undergo surgery, with no apparent return timeline established yet.

Following the Night of Champions, it's plausible that previous winners might emerge and stake their claim. On "Raw," notable champions such as Braun Strowman, The Miz, Otis, Seth Rollins, and even Brock Lesnar have previously secured the much-coveted briefcase.

However, Rollins, having just claimed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, is likely to be off the table for this round. On the women's side, excluding Morgan, past champions include Nikki Cross, previously known as Nikki A.S.H.

and Alexa Bliss. The upcoming qualifying matches also present a golden opportunity for recent arrivals from "WWE NXT" to make their mark. As the Money in the Bank qualifying matches is set to commence, one can't help but ponder the potential outcomes and the limitless possibilities they present.

The WWE universe eagerly awaits tonight's episode of "WWE Raw," where the first pieces of the puzzle will fall into place.
