John Cena Ex-Rival Marks 185-Day WWE Champion Milestone

Riding a wave of triumph, Austin Theory, the recent adversary of the renowned John Cena at WrestleMania 39, recently celebrated his 185-day reign as the United States Champion. Well-known in the SmackDown universe, Theory has maintained his winning streak since securing the coveted title at last year's Survivor Series.

Along the way, his formidable list of vanquished rivals includes stalwarts like Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Edge, as well as the 16-time world champion John Cena. Most recently, Sheamus challenged Theory's supremacy on SmackDown, only to be defeated following an intervention by Pretty Deadly.

Taking to Twitter, Theory shared a jubilant snapshot of himself, clutching the hard-earned United States Championship. His accompanying message, marking his 185-day champion status, unabashedly asserted his claim as the premier superstar ever to hold the title.

His tweet reads, "185 Days #TheGreatestUnitedStatesChampion."

Cena's Advice to Theory Pre-Clash

John Cena, meanwhile, opened up about the advice he imparted to Theory ahead of their infamous RAW clash. The iconic figurehead of WWE, Cena, made a surprise return to Monday Night RAW a few months prior.

This was when Theory, brimming with ambition, interrupted Cena to challenge him for a title match at The Grandest Stage of Them All. Cena delivered a cutting promo against Theory before taking up the gauntlet. While on Notsam Wrestling, Cena revealed the candid advice he had given Theory backstage before their memorable RAW face-off.

He emphasized that fans can discern if a wrestler doesn't resonate with their character authentically. He recollected his words to Theory, "' Dude; you are young, you are athletic, you will work for this company, you'll do interviews, you'll go X, Y, and Z.

I don't believe what you do when you're out there, I don't. I said it to him personally before I said it publicly." The theory was selected for the SmackDown brand as part of the current WWE Draft, creating anticipation and intrigue regarding his next challenger.

Fans eagerly await Theory's future defenses of his title, and his pursuit of greatness in the WWE ring continues unabated.
