WWE Star Touts Smackdown Finale as 'Best WWE TV Segment Ever'

In an unexpected and dramatic twist on WWE Smackdown, wrestling superstar Jey Uso sided with his brother Jimmy in a riveting display of defiance against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. A fellow WWE veteran hailed this moment as one of the most memorable in WWE television history.

Jey Uso has spent the past three years as a faithful ally to Roman Reigns and has developed an intriguing character arc as the "Right Hand Man" and "Main Event" Jey Uso. Moreover, with his brother Jimmy, he held the record for the longest Tag Team Title reign in WWE history.

The suspenseful storyline leading up to the June 16th edition of Smackdown revolved around a significant decision Jey was expected to make: whether to join forces with his brother Jimmy against Roman Reigns or remain steadfast in his loyalty to Reigns.

The dramatic conclusion was revealed only in the final moments of the two-hour show.

Jey Uso Defies Roman Reigns

Despite the persuasive attempts by Roman Reigns, along with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa (the younger brother of The Usos), to sway Jey to their side by appointing him the future Tribal Chief, Jey opted for a different path.

In a resounding statement to his brother Jimmy, Jey declared, "You out," signifying Jimmy's exclusion from The Bloodline. Jey quickly added, "And I'm out too!" demonstrating his allegiance to his brother over his cousin Roman.

This dramatic turn of events continued with Jey launching a superkick at Roman. The Usos then jointly delivered a double superkick on their younger brother Solo, and when Reigns recovered, he was met with another double superkick from The Usos.

The scene ended with Reigns seething in anger and Paul Heyman looking on, visibly shaken, while the fans applauded. Shortly after Smackdown concluded at 10 p.m. ET, WWE NXT superstar Dijak, a 15-year pro wrestling veteran and ardent fan, took to Twitter to express his admiration for the segment.

Dijak's praises underscored the impact of the closing moments, with millions of Smackdown viewers likely resonating with his sentiment regarding the historic ending.
