As anticipation builds around the impending in-ring debut of Maxxine Dupri, she recently reflected on the unique path that led her to the global wrestling powerhouse, WWE. In a candid conversation on WWE's podcast, "After The Bell," Dupri cited the E!

Network's popular reality show "Total Divas" as the driving force behind her decision to venture into the world of professional wrestling. "Total Divas" captured my heart. The world utterly entranced me it portrayed," Dupri confessed.

"My grandfather is a diehard wrestling fan who used to accompany my father to WWE events. To this day, he's tuned into WWE every week without fail, which has amusingly earned me the title of 'favorite grandchild.' Besides, my boyfriend is also a genuine WWE enthusiast.

Throughout the lockdown, WWE was a staple in our household. Even when he indulged in video games, it was invariably WWE 2K. Amidst this, my request was to revert to Total Divas!"

"Dupri's Journey to WWE Tryouts"

Emboldened by years of vicarious enjoyment through "Total Divas," Dupri determined it was time to jump into the wrestling arena herself.

She contacted her modeling agency, enquiring if they had any connections within WWE. This sparked a series of tryout submissions that eventually led to an invitation for a Las Vegas tryout, coinciding with the location of WWE's 2021 SummerSlam event.

In 2022, Dupri appeared on the main roster in a unique role — Director of Talent for Maximum Male Models. Her path has now converged with Alpha Academy under the expert guidance of wrestling stalwart Chad Gable. He has been instrumental in grooming Dupri for her much-anticipated in-ring debut.

Reflecting on her beloved "Total Divas," Dupri singled out WWE Hall of Famers, The Bella Twins, as her cherished personalities from the show. She has often expressed her aspiration of locking horns with Nikki Bella, naming her as her dream adversary.
