Gable Steveson, a name that garnered considerable buzz in the wrestling community, is paving his successful path in WWE, exhibiting more promise than initially anticipated. Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist, signed with WWE as its inaugural NIL signee in late 2021, and the wrestling fraternity had high hopes for his successful transition into professional wrestling.

He was even drafted to Raw as a part of the 2021 WWE Draft, despite not having participated in any matches. Since then, Steveson's presence in WWE has been limited. Notable appearances include his confrontation with Chad Gable at WrestleMania 38.

However, he took a significant step forward with his recent appearance on NXT, where he pledged to train Eddy Thorpe for his upcoming Raw Underground bout against Steveson's brother, Damon Kemp.

Damon Kemp has been a regular on NXT television for a while now.

He was initially a part of the Diamond Mine and is currently a standalone performer after parting ways with the group. The June 20th episode of NXT featured a backstage segment where Gable offered to train Thorpe, creating a stir among WWE fans.

The following episode, aired on June 27th, showed Steveson and Thorpe in a training session, with Steveson confirming his ringside support for Thorpe's upcoming match. Dave Meltzer, a renowned wrestling critic, recently shared some insights about Steveson's training and his upcoming participation in the 2023 World Wrestling Championships scheduled for September.

This will warm up his training for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Meltzer stated that Steveson's potential is growing, with the star expected to perform better in WWE than most had initially speculated. "His commitment to WWE, despite having the World Championships on the horizon, is certainly intriguing," Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio.

He further elaborated, "Steveson has already proven his prowess by beating all American competitors, and now he's training to face competitors who've surpassed these American athletes. He's an absolute phenom. And from what I've heard, Gable is learning quickly and is set to outperform initial expectations."
