McIntyre on Getting Knocked Out Cold by Kofi Kingston

One of WWE’s biggest PPV events is just around the corner. One big WWE Superstar is using moments from the past to promote himself in the present as the Money in the Bank PPV is just days away. Vicente Beltran from the ViBe & Wrestling interviewed Drew McIntyre just recently and talked about his career.

McIntyre was part of the 201- Money in the Bank pay-per-view event and he was also present during the first ever 10-person MITB match that was held at WrestleMania 26. He spoke about a spot that involved the current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.

"Being unconscious," McIntyre said. "I was lying on the table when Kofi came off the ladder and landed on me. He landed on my chest and slid through, onto my head. I remember waking up, wondering why thousands of people were in my bedroom.

Shaking the cobwebs off and eventually shouting, the referee starts calling over to me to figure out what's going on. I quickly got my bearings and remembered I was in a Money in the Bank ladder match. But that was my first thought, 'Why is everybody in my bedroom?'" He wasn’t able to win the match and lost faith in the company.

That led to his eventual release, and he left the WWE in 2014. He performed at various wrestling promotion from 2014 to 2017.
