In a recent edition of "Ask Dogg Anything," WWE Hall of Famer "Road Dogg" Jesse James was tasked with choosing the greatest tag team in professional wrestling history between The Road Warriors, The New Age Outlaws, and The Dudley Boyz.

Known for his wit and honesty, James faced a dilemma, balancing his bias towards himself and Billy Gunn with his admiration for the other legendary teams.

James admitted his partiality, "If I said anybody but me and Billy, I'd be lying to you." However, he ultimately gave credit where credit was due and bestowed the title of the greatest tag team upon Animal and Hawk, also known as The Road Warriors.

James acknowledged their trailblazing achievements, being the first tag team to headline pay-per-view events in the late '80s, and their remarkable success in financial gains and championship reigns. Turning his attention to The Dudley Boyz, James took a moment to appreciate the immense accomplishments of Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley.

He highlighted their unique distinction of holding tag team gold in various promotions, including WWE, WCW, NWA, TNA, and IWGP. Nevertheless, James couldn't help but emphasize the prowess of The New Age Outlaws, asserting, "me and Billy were a damn good tag team, and we could bump and go with the best of them." He expressed his confidence in Gunn's abilities while also recognizing his contributions, particularly in verbal prowess, before entering the ring.

While Gunn, still actively contributing to the wrestling industry at age 59, graces the rings of AEW, James has transitioned into a prominent role within WWE. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Live Events, he took the reins from Jeff Jarrett in the previous year.

Although The Outlaws' in-ring appearances have become sporadic, their legacy endures, with their final WWE Tag Team Championship reign in 2014 and their last match against The Ascension at the 2015 Royal Rumble. As fans reflect on the greatest tag teams in wrestling history, Road Dogg's insights shed light on the undeniable impact of The Road Warriors while also acknowledging the remarkable accomplishments of The Dudley Boyz.

With their unique blend of charisma, in-ring skills, and championship success, The New Age Outlaws continue to hold a special place in the hearts of wrestling enthusiasts worldwide.
