Bianca Belair and Montez Ford, the reigning "It couple" of WWE, recently shared their personal and professional goals in an engaging conversation with USA Today. Ford candidly expressed his long-held ambition of embarking on a solo career and his childhood dream of becoming a WWE Champion.
However, he clarified that his immediate focus is on his joint venture with Angelo Dawkins, aiming for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles.
Couple's Shared Championship Ambition
On the same wavelength, Belair expressed her full agreement with Ford's aspirations.
She unveiled a unique couple-oriented objective: to be reigning champions concurrently. Her bid to reclaim the WWE Women's Championship on the recent "WWE SmackDown" unfortunately ended in a disqualification, leaving Asuka with the title intact.
In an epic twist at the Night of Champions premium live event on May 27, "The Empress of Tomorrow" disrupted Belair's reign of over 400 days as champion. Belair, a former titleholder of the WWE Women's World Championship — previously known as the "WWE SmackDown" Women's Championship — had her glorious reign from April to August 2021.
It marked her first victory of a WWE Women's Title. Contrasting Belair's solo achievements, Ford's accolades mostly comprise "NXT," "Raw," and "SmackDown" tag team titles, given he hasn't made a notable solo run yet in WWE.
The Street Profits, Ford and Dawkins' team, last seized the tag team gold during the "SmackDown" episode aired on January 8, 2021, only to lose to Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Their latest appearance on WWE TV was on the June 23 episode of "SmackDown," where they fell short against Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson).
Apart from their thriving professional lives, Belair and Ford have a flourishing personal relationship as well. Since their first encounter at the WWE Performance Center, the couple has been married since June 23, 2018. Adding another feather to their caps, they are currently filming a reality TV show under the banner of Hulu, promising fans an even more intimate peek into their lives.
