Britt Baker: 'Thunder Rosa's Skill Uncontested Despite Personal Dislike'

In a recent episode of the "Not Just Football with Cam Heyward" program, Britt Baker, a prominent All Elite Wrestling (AEW) superstar and former Women's Champion, was engaged in a candid conversation covering many topics.

Among them was her professional and personal opinion about her peer, Thunder Rosa, whom she acknowledges as an excellent wrestler despite their discord.

Baker Discusses Wrestling Injuries

Baker candidly spoke about the inherent dangers associated with professional wrestling.

Addressing whether she gets upset when injuries happen in the ring, she explained that the answer varies depending on the situation. "There are so many things that can go wrong, and most of the time, 90% of the time, they don't," Baker said, highlighting the razor-thin margin between a typical match and a career-threatening accident.

She clarified that anger is not a justified response if an injury results from an honest mistake or a timing issue. However, she confessed that reckless behavior in the ring, leading to unnecessary harm, would infuriate her.

One of the most exciting parts of the interview came when Baker discussed her thoughts about Thunder Rosa, another highly skilled and respected wrestler in the AEW. Despite their well-documented personal differences, Baker showcased her professionalism and respect for her colleague's abilities.

"In AEW, I've never had a moment in the ring where I was like, 'I'm going to mess this person up.' We have a professional locker room, which I'm very thankful for," Baker stated. It was evident that Baker values professionalism and mutual respect in the wrestling arena, irrespective of personal feelings.

She continued, "My differences aside, I don't like Thunder Rosa, but she's still a good wrestler. I have to give that to her." This acknowledgment underscores that personal animosities do not have to eclipse an objective assessment of a fellow wrestler's talent and capability in professional wrestling.

Thus, Baker's openness about the complexities of wrestling, combined with her candid, albeit begrudging, respect for Thunder Rosa, provides a fascinating insight into the nuanced relationships within the AEW women's division.
