WWE Superstar Matt Riddle recently revealed that he had contemplated the idea of forming a formidable faction consisting of himself, Edge, and Randy Orton, aptly named Rated RK-Bro. During a recent appearance on "The Bump," Riddle was asked if he had considered creating his own faction to counter the threat posed by Gunther and Imperium.
The former UFC fighter expressed his enthusiasm for being part of a group and even disclosed his previous desire to establish Rated RK-Bro. Riddle shared his thoughts, stating, "You got Cody; he's a stallion. You know, if Randy ever comes back.
That would be awesome. Edge — you know, for a minute there, I wanted to do Rated RK-Bro. It's a whole thing. I would love to be in a group."
Edge and Orton's Memorable Feud
Fans may recall that Rated-RKO was the moniker used by Edge and Orton when they teamed up between 2006 and 2011.
The duo teased a reunion at the 2020 Royal Rumble when Edge made a surprise comeback in the men's Royal Rumble match. This led to a lengthy feud between "The Rated-R Superstar" and "The Viper," resulting in three memorable matches.
During his appearance on the show, Riddle expressed his frustration at the constant odds stacked against him in his matches and the absence of a reliable ally to depend on. He acknowledged the advantage enjoyed by other wrestlers in factions who have someone to lift them up when they are down, while he felt somewhat isolated without such support.
Although Randy Orton has been sidelined for a year due to a back injury, rumors are circulating about his imminent return. Riddle, his former tag team partner, also expressed his interest in mentoring a few WWE NXT stars and forming a dominant group on the main roster.
Currently embroiled in a heated rivalry with Gunther, Riddle suffered a setback in his quest for vengeance when the Intercontinental Champion defeated him on a recent episode of "WWE Raw." This loss followed his defeat at the hands of the Austrian star earlier this month at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
As the WWE Universe eagerly awaits the return of Randy Orton, the prospect of Rated RK-Bro taking the WWE scene by storm remains an exciting possibility. For now, Riddle continues to navigate the challenges alone, while also considering the potential of forging new alliances and revitalizing his career.
