Though Cardona admitted his uncertainty about returning, he emphasized that his presence at WWE Raw was solely in support of Green. He had no intention of leveraging the situation to negotiate a professional comeback. He explained, "I wasn't keen on being backstage.

The last thing I wanted was to give the impression that I was pleading for my job. I took deliberate measures to ensure John Cone facilitated my discreet entry and exit.
