Becky Lynch discusses facing two competitors at Money in the Bank

On 7 April, at WrestleMania 35, in what was the first time women headlined a WrestleMania event, Becky Lynch won both the Raw Women’s Championship and SmackDown Women's Championship in a Winner takes all match against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, making her a double champion and the only woman to hold both titles simultaneously.

Lynch is now an overall four-time women's champion in WWE. Following her arrival on WWE's main roster in July 2015, she became the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion at Backlash 2016 and since held the title three times as of April 2019.

In a recent interview with MassLive.com, the Irish superstar discussed facing two competitors at Money in the Bank: “I was asked last week, why would I take on two competitors at Money in the Bank? I have two belts.

I made my way to WrestleMania by fighting twice in one night. I’m not the underdog anymore. I’m the top dog”. She also added: “During that time, when I quit, I felt tremendous guilt for leaving what I love.

It’s really one of those things that happens for a reason. I wouldn’t be where I am now if I hadn’t learned the lessons I learned along the way. I knew what it was like to be resentful. I think I finally let it go.

Sometimes you have to learn to trust yourself and forgive yourself. We all make mistakes and do things we regret. You never know how it’s going to end up until it ends up."
