He recently took to the airwaves to express his pleasure and pride in LA Knight's rise to fame, revealing that he fought to keep Knight in the company. LA Knight has risen to become one of the most famous figures in WWE, as indicated by his soaring merchandise sales and audience reactions.
Over the past few months, he has received some of the most thunderous ovations on SmackDown and has been projected as a front-runner in the Men's Money In The Bank Ladder match by the London crowd. However, LA Knight's journey to the top has not been a walk in the park.
Michaels recently shared insight into the former Million Dollar Champion's journey on the Busted Open radio show. Michaels, often called "The Heartbreak Kid," praised Knight's unique charisma and talent that set him apart. "I'm delighted for LA Knight's success," he shared.

Michaels also discussed Knight's initial concerns about his progression in the company.
He fondly recalled, "When Knight began his WWE journey, he was skeptical about transitioning into a babyface character, as he hadn't yet experienced a good run as a heel. But I persuaded him to embrace the crowd's adoration.
I always knew his popularity would lead to greater impact when he eventually made a turn." Furthermore, Michaels admitted he sometimes had to intervene to ensure Knight's talent was acknowledged. "There were moments where I had to advocate for Knight and stress the importance of his potential to the decision-makers," he said.
"I'm immensely grateful they heeded my advice." Lastly, Michaels expressed his excitement for Knight's future in WWE. "LA Knight is a superstar that the WWE Universe relishes, and I believe he has a bright future. His success brings me immense joy."
