Ricochet Reflects on Enjoyable NXT Days and Talks Transition to WWE Main Roster

WWE star Ricochet's journey in the wrestling world has been marked by intensity, excitement, and undeniable talent. In a recent interview on "Insight With Chris Van Vliet," Ricochet opened up about his memorable time in "WWE NXT," which began in early 2018 and ended in 2019.

Though his stint in NXT lasted just a little over a year, the impact he made and the memories he collected during that time were significant. "That was such a good time for me. Honestly, I feel like you could start anywhere because everyone was good," Ricochet reflected, praising the talent he shared the ring with.

His humility and gratitude for his peers were evident as he continued, "Everybody I was in there with was so good, so it helped me a lot. But I guess if I had to point you somewhere first, the WarGames [match] is probably one of them."

He continued to recount standout multi-man matches, including a thrilling five-way "NXT" Championship number one contender's bout against prominent figures like Adam Cole, Matt Riddle, Velveteen Dream, and Aleister Black.

He expressed genuine enjoyment working with these talents and others like Johnny Gargano and former "NXT UK" Champion Pete Dunne. Transitioning from "NXT" to the main WWE roster is a significant step in any wrestler's career, often accompanied by anticipation and anxiety.

However, Ricochet's approach to this move in February 2019 was filled with confidence and excitement rather than worry. "I wasn't worried about it at all," he said assertively. "Not even because I think everyone's going to know me.

That was, 'If you don't know me, you're about to know me. You'll find out very soon if you don't know me.' I've always liked starting fresh." Ricochet's fearless attitude toward his career transition reflects his broader approach to professional wrestling, always ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

His reflections on his "NXT" stint provide fans with a glimpse into his favorite matches and opponents and reveal a wrestler who appreciates the journey as much as the destination. His time in "NXT" may have been brief, but the legacy he left and the lessons he learned have shaped him into the performer he is today on the WWE main roster.
