In an unexpected turn, Roman Reigns, one of WWE's most prominent superstars, is conspicuously absent from the advertising for next year's Royal Rumble Premium Live Event (PLE). This fuels speculation that he might be skipping one of the WWE's marquee events.

The WWE, in their recent announcement, confirmed the hosting of their 37th edition of the Royal Rumble on January 27th. The highly-anticipated event is set to take place at the Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida. With the Royal Rumble being one of the most-watched WWE events annually, its roster selection often indicates the company's direction for the coming year.

Providing a sneak peek into the event, WWE unveiled an early poster featuring a star-studded lineup. Notable names include World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Balor & Damian Priest.

Fans also noted the inclusion of US Champion Rey Mysterio, NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, powerhouses like Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Cody Rhodes, and rising stars such as IYO SKY, Asuka, and LA Knight, among others.

Reigns' Surprising Absence

However, the absence of Roman Reigns raises eyebrows. Since inking a fresh deal with WWE last year, Reigns has been on a somewhat reduced schedule. His most recent appearance in the ring was at SummerSlam, and he has been missing from other significant events like Payback.

While he is not currently on the roster for Fastlane next month, fans can expect to see him in the Survivor Series, as he's prominently advertised for it. Though his current absence from the Royal Rumble advertising is palpable, the dynamic nature of WWE event rosters means nothing is set in stone.

It remains within the realm of possibility that Roman Reigns might still make a grand entrance into the Royal Rumble, adding yet another twist to the storied legacy of the event. As always, fans will be on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting.
