In what could have been an unforgettable chapter in WWE history, the match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch, fondly referred to as "The Man", never reached fruition. This has left fans speculating for a long time. The moment Becky Lynch clinched the Women's Royal Rumble victory, a one-on-one showdown with Rousey seemed imminent.

Yet, the squared circle remained deprived of this face-off. 2018 was Becky Lynch's golden year. After an unexpected turn of events during an invasion segment on Monday Night RAW, she skyrocketed to fame, becoming WWE's most discussed superstar.

Her trajectory was set for a marquee match against Rousey at WrestleMania 35. However, destiny had other plans. WWE's decision to induct Charlotte Flair turned it into a Triple Threat main event.

Konan Reveals Reasons

So, why did the much-anticipated Rousey vs.

Lynch match never happen, especially after both superstars made their respective returns? Wrestling icon Konan shared his insights on the Keepin It 100 Official podcast: "I believe there might be personal issues between them...

But professional commitments should supersede personal differences. Maybe Rousey had scheduling constraints." Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey made a spectacular comeback, post her loss of the SmackDown Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair.

Not wasting any time, she aligned herself with Shayna Baszler in the women's tag team division. On the other hand, Becky Lynch was deeply engrossed in her storyline against Bayley and Damage CTRL on Monday Night RAW. With a strategic alliance with Lita and the intervention of Trish Stratus, she secured the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

However, the tides changed quickly. Following her rivalry with Damage CTRL, Lynch surrendered the titles to the fierce duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. Shortly after, Rousey and Baszler marked their territory on Monday Night RAW, snatching the titles for themselves.

But, all was not well in paradise. Baszler's eventual betrayal led to an intense feud that lasted the entire summer. The climactic face-off saw Baszler, the Queen of Spades, getting the better of Rousey in what could potentially be the latter's swansong in WWE.

With such a roller-coaster of events, the missed Rousey vs. Lynch face-off remains one of WWE's most intriguing "what ifs".
