All Elite Wrestling (AEW) fans attending the much-anticipated Dynamite: Grand Slam event at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City this Wednesday are in for potential surprises. The star-studded lineup includes exhilarating matches like AEW World Champion MJF taking on Samoa Joe, AEW Women's World Champion Saraya battling Toni Storm, and AEW International Champion Jon Moxley facing off against Rey Fenix.

Moreover, in a rare Title vs. Title match, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli is set to lock horns with NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston. As if that weren't enough, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara are also on the card for what promises to be a blockbuster encounter.

Cardona's Grand Slam Hint

However, a recent teaser has added a new layer of intrigue to the event. Former WWE superstar Matt Cardona hinted at making a surprise appearance at the Grand Slam, potentially setting the stage for a face-off with Santana.

This teaser comes on the heels of Santana's post-match assault on Cardona at a recent House of Glory event, where Cardona retained his title against Homicide. Taking to social media, Cardona addressed Santana directly: “I should be in high spirits, having defended my House of Glory title against Homicide.

Yet here I am at Holiday Inn Express, hearing about Mike Santana's antics. To Santana and the rest of AEW - you might rule the airwaves on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but the indie scene? That's my territory. I'm its reigning god.

Santana, you might have the home field advantage at AEW, but if you ever want to see who the true king of New York is, I'm more than willing to show you on a Wednesday." With this challenge now out in the open, all eyes are on AEW's Dynamite: Grand Slam event. Will Cardona indeed make a shocking appearance? Only time will tell, but the anticipation is palpable.
