Trish Stratus is one of the most important WWE female wrestlers of all time. Before the women’s revolution, Trish, Lita, and Mickie James led the women’s division. In fact, many people believe that these three ladies laid the foundation for the women to start the women’s revolution.

Trish Stratus Speaks About How She Started Working with Becky Lynch

Before the women’s revolution, female wrestlers were not taken very seriously by any wrestling promotion. They were used as show pieces and some of their matches had non-wrestling stipulations.

The infamous ‘Bra and Panties’ format was quite regular in the WWE. WWE changed the way they handled female matches quite radically after they went PG. These days, matches involving women are given as much importance as matches involving men.

In fact, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair were the first women to main event WrestleMania. This was the first time women were given so much importance. Trish is already a WWE Hall of Famer. She stated during multiple interviews that the reason why she returned to the WWE was to fight some of WWE’s best stars.

She was recently in a feud with Becky Lynch, who was at one time the most important wrestler in the WWE. Their feud ended at WWE Payback 2023. Trish lost the match that night. On GAW TV, Trish explained how she ended up working with Becky.

"WWE came to Canada [in March 2022]," Stratus said. "They asked me to host the Canadian shows, and I knew I'd be interacting with her on those shows. So we just started a little something-something online, a little Twitter war, so to speak.

And I remember people were raving about it, 'Oh, this is so exciting.' "There's always those dream matches and fantasy match-ups and stuff, and I don't think anyone put Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch together, right? ... And then when started doing that, people were like, 'Oh my god, this is a dream match.

Best of this gen, best of that gen.' And people were interested." The Trish and Becky feud began on the 10th of April during a WWE RAW episode. Trish started attacking Becky after losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriquez were the women that defeated them. Becky and Trish fought for the first time at WWE Night of Champions 2023. Trish won that match. However, Trish received help from Zoey Stark to win that match.
