In a candid YouTube video highlighted by Fightful, Maven, a prominent figure from WWE's era filled with powerhouses such as Brock Lesnar, Batista, and John Cena, unveiled the depths of his steroid usage during his time with the promotion.

Maven began by clarifying that any monetary expenses associated with his steroid use came solely from his own pocket, emphasizing, "It was unequivocally my choice." The former WWE star offered a glimpse behind the curtain, stating he had never witnessed fellow wrestlers engaging in steroid use backstage.

All of his steroid-related activities were carried out discreetly at his residence.

Steroids: Silent Locker Talk

Rather than being a topic of common discussion, Maven pointed out that conversations about steroids in the locker room were rare.

Yet, every so often, a colleague would inquire about what he was consuming. To him, such queries felt less like probes and more akin to accolades. "Whenever someone would ask, I took it as affirmation that my efforts were yielding the desired outcomes," Maven remarked.

Reiterating his stance on backstage activities, Maven asserted that during his tenure, he had never encountered anyone possessing or consuming steroids. He touched upon the speculation that WWE might have indirectly influenced his decision to use performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Maven refuted this, noting, "At no point did I feel my position with WWE was under threat due to non-use." He did recall instances of colleagues being let go due to PED-related issues, understanding it as WWE's protocol of the time.

Delving deeper, Maven speculated on a potential correlation between his on-screen appearances and his PED use. While he conceded he couldn't substantiate this claim, he firmly believed that the prevailing culture might have favored enhanced physiques.

Reflecting on the industry's evolution, Maven expressed his satisfaction with the present direction of professional wrestling, emphasizing its move away from an era overshadowed by PED controversies.
