WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently shared his insights on the latest episode of his "Kliq This" podcast, now available across all major streaming platforms. A significant portion of the discussion revolved around Larry Zbyszko's assertion that he was the brains behind the iconic NWO storyline.
Nash responded, "The only hiccup with Larry's narrative is that I was already under contract. Pac wasn't. He wasn't joining us. Honestly, this is news to me. I find it hard to believe. The only individuals I ever discussed this with were Eric and Kevin Sullivan.
As Eric Bischoff aptly puts it, if you ask five people present in a room in '93 about an event, you'll get five wildly different versions."
Nash Addresses LA Knight
The conversation then shifted to LA Knight's recent jibe at Nash on WWE SmackDown.
With a hint of sarcasm, Nash commented, "I've come across mentions of him taking a dig at me. But I wondered, how is that even a dig? He's implying that I'm a bottom feeder. It took him nearly three decades to make a mark, so he's bound to err.
It seems he's trying to emulate The Rock and Steve Austin, thinking their absence might give him a chance. I've heard he's negotiating a new contract. So, I reached out to Triple H to get the scoop." Nash continued, "Paul (Triple H) was puzzled by this 'kid,' and I use that term loosely.
He remarked, 'Kid? He's almost my age.' I retorted, 'Is your concern more about his dwindling fan appeal or his rapidly receding hairline?' I mean, who in their right mind would choose those sunglasses unless they had questionable taste? Paul's stance was clear.
He said, 'Our negotiation is at a standstill. I'd only sign him for a nostalgia act.' I quipped, 'Like me, as a legend?' Paul replied, 'He's rehashing old acts. I can't offer him the same as those bringing original content to the table.'
" This candid conversation offers a glimpse into the backstage dynamics of the wrestling world, highlighting both the camaraderie and the conflicts that shape the industry.
