Former WWE star Elias has taken a moment to reflect on the pinnacle moments of his time with the company, following the recent news of his release. Elias, whose real journey to stardom began in the independent wrestling circuits, became a part of the WWE universe in 2014, joining the NXT ranks.

Initially utilized in a more subdued role during his early NXT days, it wasn't until 2015 that he truly began to resonate with fans. Adopting the persona of a wandering musician, "The Drifter," his unique charisma and musical talent quickly endeared him to the WWE audience.

When 2017 rolled around, Elias was primed for the main roster. Audiences eagerly awaited his segments, which often showcased him strumming his guitar backstage or even amid high-profile matches. His musical performances weren't always well-received by other superstars, notably Finn Balor, who interrupted one such serenade.

This led to an intense rivalry, culminating in Elias' notable victory over Balor in a No Disqualification match.

Elias's Iconic Showdowns

Throughout his tenure, Elias faced off against the crème de la crème of WWE, including names like John Cena, Braun Strowman, and Seth Rollins.

While these feuds often saw Elias on the back foot, he always kept audiences intrigued. 2022 brought a fresh twist, with Elias rebranding as "Ezekiel," allegedly his own sibling. Kevin Owens, however, wasn't buying the new identity, leading to humorous confrontations and Owens ultimately putting an end to the Ezekiel chapter.

Just a year later, in May 2023, Elias made what would be one of his final appearances in a competitive match, vying for a spot as the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Unfortunately, he came up short.

His WWE chapter officially closed on September 21st, part of a series of roster cuts. In a heartfelt post on social media, Elias offered a glimpse into his journey, cherishing memories like his WrestleMania appearances and celebrating the success of his chart-topping album on iTunes.

With his legacy etched in WWE history, fans and industry experts alike await Elias's next move in the world of professional wrestling.
