Recent reports from Fightful Select have shed light on the current health status of WWE's powerhouse, Luke Gallows, a pivotal member of the notorious trio known as the OC. As per the update, Gallows underwent a knee scope procedure, which mandates an absence from the squared circle for about six weeks.
To reflect on his recent appearances, Gallows was last showcased on WWE's mainstream platform on August 18 during "SmackDown". Teaming with his OC ally, Karl Anderson, the duo came up short against the high-flying Street Profits, Angelo Dawkins, and Montez Ford.
Following this televised appearance, Gallows stepped into the ring at the WWE Supershow on August 20. On that occasion, the combination of Gallows, Anderson, and the phenomenal AJ Styles emerged triumphant over Austin Theory, Cedric Alexander, and the skilled veteran, Shelton Benjamin.
OC's Tumultuous Turn
Despite this victory, the subsequent weeks have seen minimal in-ring activity for Anderson and Gallows. In contrast, the third member of the OC, AJ Styles, has been embroiled in a fierce rivalry with The Bloodline, boosted by the return of the iconic John Cena.
However, a recent episode of "SmackDown" delivered a twist. Both Gallows and Anderson were blindsided by the raw power of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. AJ Styles, having been ambushed by Sikoa earlier, had to be carted off to a medical facility.
Adding layers to this narrative, Anderson, during a crucial segment, emphasized to Cena and Mia Yim the perils of tangling with the Bloodline, alluding to the fact that he had cautioned Styles against such a confrontation.
The night took a darker turn when Cena was ambushed, further shaking the foundations of the OC. With a scheduled face-off between Styles & Cena against Sikoa & Uso at WWE's forthcoming Premium Live Event, Fastlane, the absence of Gallows and the unpredictability surrounding Styles' participation post-ambush, casts a looming shadow over the OC's strategies. Evidently, Gallows' timely return would be the panacea the OC desperately needs.
