The USA Network aired this week's "WWE NXT" episode to an average viewership of 636,000, as detailed by "Wrestlenomics." This number accounts for 235,000 viewers within the advertiser-preferred 18 to 49 age demographic, resulting in a 0.18 rating for that coveted group.

Interestingly, despite this episode being the lead-in to the much-anticipated No Mercy premium live event set for Saturday, the viewership saw a 23 per cent decrease from the previous week's count of 824,000. Many believe the sharp decline can be directly linked to the absence of the current "NXT" Women's Champion, Becky Lynch.

Lynch's recent appearances have rejuvenated WWE's developmental brand. The night she triumphed over Tifanny Stratton for the championship, "NXT" saw its highest viewership surge in three years. Her undeniable drawing power was again evident in the previous week's strong ratings.

This week, however, her appearance was limited to a video segment promoting her forthcoming Extreme Rules Match against Stratton.

NXT Defies Ratings Dip

Becky Lynch, recognizing her profound influence on ratings, recently dubbed herself "Ratings Rebecca." This week's data validates her claim.

Nevertheless, despite this dip in viewership, "NXT" maintained a commendable position, ranking #1 among all sports broadcasts on Tuesday, as cited by "SportsTVRatings." Notably, "NXT" achieved this rank while up against various WNBA Playoff games, MLB regular season fixtures, and popular talk shows aired on major networks like ESPN and FS1.

Highlights of the episode included an intense Strap Match between rivals Dijak and Eddy Thorpe, a pivotal contract signing segment spotlighting "NXT" Champion Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov, a match determining the North American Title's #1 contender, and the exciting "NXT" Global Heritage Invitational Finals featuring Joe Coffey versus Butch.

As wrestling aficionados eagerly anticipate the results from No Mercy PLE, next week is poised to offer a riveting lineup. It boasts marquee matchups like Lynch's face-off with Stratton, the anticipated showdown between Hayes and Dragunov, the powerhouse Bron Breakker battling Baron Corbin, and an electrifying bout featuring Dominik Mysterio against the formidable Trick Williams.
