In the world of professional wrestling, Chris Jericho is synonymous with memorable moments. From his electrifying debut to his iconic catchphrases, Jericho's contributions to the sport are immeasurable. Among the standout moments, the 'Festival Of Friendship’ that aired on WWE Raw on February 13, 2017, holds a special place in his heart.

It marked the shocking end of his alliance with Kevin Owens. For several weeks, the duo had been the cornerstone of Raw storylines. Jericho was frequently in Owens' corner, ensuring the latter's Universal Championship reign continued.

The camaraderie was palpable, that was until Jericho decided to accept a title match against Goldberg on Owens' behalf. This decision led to an unforgettable twist, where what was intended to be a celebration of their bond ended with Owens launching a brutal assault on Jericho.

In a recent episode of "Superstar Crossover," Jericho reflected on this iconic segment, placing it among the top moments in Raw's storied history. He shared the inspiration behind it, stating, “I envisaged the segment to start reminiscent of an '80s David Lee Roth music video but culminate with the shock value akin to the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones”.

Interestingly, the segment faced its share of backstage roadblocks. Jericho found himself battling skeptics, including Triple H. However, a text from Vince McMahon swiftly silenced all naysayers. Jericho recalls showing McMahon's supportive text to the dissenters and exclaimed, “That's the proof right there.

No more arguments!”

Jericho's Horror Vision

Jericho's intent for the scene was crystal clear. He wanted fans to experience a horror film-like suspense, where they could predict the forthcoming betrayal, while he, in the storyline, remained blissfully unaware until it was tragically too late.

In a recent AEW storyline, Jericho noted a similar emotional intensity when he was betrayed by Don Callis. The unsuspecting Jericho believed he was being welcomed into Callis's 'Family' when, in a dramatic turn of events, a painting revealed Callis holding Jericho's decapitated head.

This cunning ploy culminated with Will Ospreay's surprising attack. The tension between Jericho and Callis is far from over. The two are set to clash again at the highly-anticipated AEW WrestleDream on October 1st. Jericho, partnering with Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi, will face formidable opponents from the Callis Family, including Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Sammy Guevara, who has also turned his back on Jericho.
