In a move that has sent ripples throughout the professional wrestling community, Jade Cargill, the former AEW TBS Champion, recently inked a multi-year deal with WWE. After a nearly three-year association with AEW, helmed by Tony Khan, the 31-year-old star chose a new direction.

Her last bout for AEW was on September 15's "Rampage" episode, where she faced off against Kris Statlander but did not emerge victorious. Jade has seamlessly transitioned into her new role, initiating her training sessions at the coveted WWE Performance Center located in Orlando.

Even though details regarding her on-screen debut remain under wraps, there's a palpable excitement in the air, given WWE's penchant for grand reveals, especially for someone of Cargill's stature, a former basketball player.

The wrestling world keenly tuned into "Busted Open" when Mickie James, the former five-time WWE Women's Champion, weighed in on Cargill's significant decision. "Jade's signing was almost anticipated. Her star power is undeniable, coupled with her television experience which gives her an edge," remarked James.

"The fans have been on their toes, speculating her next move. For me, her transition to WWE is both timely and natural."

James Advises NXT Start

James further added some advice, suggesting that considering Jade only ventured into the wrestling universe back in November 2020, it might be beneficial for her to start her WWE journey on the NXT platform.

This would not only provide her with an environment to refine her skills but also help her match the experience level of her peers on the WWE main roster. James emphasized, "Despite her having wrestled only 64 matches during her AEW tenure, what Jade brings to the table is a potent blend of charisma and prior TV familiarity." As fans await Cargill's anticipated WWE debut, she is set to tread the path once taken by Cody Rhodes, becoming the second AEW talent to switch allegiance to WWE. The wrestling fraternity and fans alike are eager to see how Jade's journey unfolds in her new wrestling home.
