Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens Share Their Feelings About the Upcoming Match
For a very long time, Sami and Kevin worked as solo wrestlers. However, Sami and Kevin got back together as a tag team a few months ago. Since then they have performed in the WWE as a tag team, bringing back the old memories that many fans had about them.
Sami and Kevin recently responded to the recent Tag Title Announcement. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso will fight for the WWE Tag Team Titles at Fastlane. They will fight Finn Balor and Damian Priest, the current Tag Team Champions.
Sami and Kevin have mixed feelings about this announcement. On RAW this week, Adam Pearce announced this match. The match will take place at Fastlane. Byron Saxton interviewed Sami and Kevin backstage to share their thoughts on the match.
"Yeah, mixed emotions there, Byron [Saxton]. Really, for me, anyways. I'm happy for Jey Uso, I genuinely am, and for Cody Rhodes," said Zayn. "Those guys are my friends, I want the best for them. But I can't help but feel those are our championships.
And, yes, Judgment Day cheated to beat us for those championships. Yes, they cheated in the rematch, but at the end of the day, it feels like now we're being kicked to the back of the line, and that's not a great feeling. While I'm happy for those guys, it's hard to be happy about the whole situation.
So, for me, it's mixed emotions." Kevin was sitting next to Sami when Sami said all that. Kevin stated that he did not have mixed feelings at all. Kevin apparently wants his hands on the titles and wishes to face the champions as soon as he can.
"I don't have mixed emotions at all," declared Owens. "I couldn't care less. I don't care who the champions are. Look, all I care about is that whoever walks out of Fastlane as tag team champions, whether it's Judgment Day or Cody and Jey, they should expect us real soon." Sami and Kevin won the Undisputed Tag Titles on WrestleMania 39 after they beat The Usos, who had held the title for more than a year. They lost the titles to Priest and Balor at WWE Payback.
