John Cena, 16-time world champion and iconic WWE superstar, recently spoke out during an appearance on "WWE's The Bump" YouTube program. The spotlight was on Cena as he's all set to form a tag team with LA Knight, taking on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at the upcoming WWE Fastlane 2023.
Upon being probed about any lingering issues with the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, and the dominant faction The Bloodline, Cena candidly responded, "The last time we squared off, I finished in the runner-up spot, not a bad place, but not where I aim." He elaborated, “In the WWE, the quest never really ends.
Every day presents another match, another opportunity. So, yes, I'd say there's always 'unfinished business'"
Cena-Reigns Historic Clash
Fans will recall that Cena and Reigns' paths intertwined not long ago during the December 30, 2022 episode of "WWE SmackDown".
That electrifying evening saw Cena teaming up with Kevin Owens to overcome "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns and his ally, Sami Zayn. This clash came after their intense face-off at WWE SummerSlam 2021, where Reigns successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship against Cena.
Sharing his insights on "WWE's The Bump", Cena also commented on Solo Sikoa, stating he understood the challenge Sikoa faced adapting to the ever-evolving WWE landscape. Fans will be treated to Cena's consistent presence on "SmackDown", as he’s confirmed to appear weekly until the month's close.
In a riveting twist, just a week after Uso and Sikoa incapacitated Cena and his initial Fastlane tag partner, AJ Styles, Cena remained steadfast. He vowed to uphold his commitment to the upcoming live event. Emphasizing his dedication, Cena declared he's ready to face Uso and Sikoa alone, if necessary.
However, the situation shifted when LA Knight stepped up, defending Cena from another assault by Uso and Sikoa. Demonstrating solidarity, Knight inked the contract, sealing the deal to join Cena at Fastlane, ensuring an epic showdown is on the horizon.
