WWE fans are eagerly awaiting the return of "The Tribal Chief", Roman Reigns, to the ring. Slated for a comeback on the October 13, 2023, edition of SmackDown, Reigns is currently enjoying a brief hiatus from the wrestling world.

The anticipation reaches its zenith with Reigns' confirmed participation in this year's Crown Jewel Premium Live event, an extravaganza hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 4th. Early rumblings hinted at a highly anticipated bout between Reigns and AJ Styles vying for the Undisputed Universal Championship at the Saudi event.

However, a new curveball has entered the mix, as sources now indicate WWE might be charting a rematch between John Cena, the Cenation Leader, and Reigns, the reigning Undisputed Champion. Adding depth to this narrative, John Cena is concurrently embroiled in a feud with The Bloodline.

Cena's upcoming match at Fastlane sees him partnering with LA Knight against Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, further fueling the speculations.

Cena's Crown Jewel Odds

Yet, while the prospects of a Reigns vs. Cena rematch are tantalizing, insiders believe Cena won't topple Reigns at Crown Jewel.

Cena's post-event schedule might be the primary factor. Having returned to WWE programming on September 1st because of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Cena's appearance trail is expected to culminate with the October 27, 2023, episode of SmackDown.

Additionally, given Reigns' dominance, it's plausible WWE might preserve his Championship reign until next year's WrestleMania, setting the stage for an epic showdown with The Rock. Bolstering Reigns' image might be a strategic move for such a colossal bout.

A trip down memory lane takes us to SummerSlam 2021, the last time Reigns and Cena locked horns for the Universal Championship. Cena's dramatic return at Money in the Bank had set the stage for this duel. As Reigns embraced his "Tribal Chief" persona, the WWE Universe was abuzz about this electric feud. A hard-fought match ended with Reigns standing tall, his victory aided by The Usos.
