In an exhilarating ascent on the route to Fastlane, WWE SmackDown has witnessed a commendable surge in its viewership. According to the latest statistics by Wrestlenomics, the broadcast on October 6th garnered the attention of 2.319 million enthusiasts, marking a subtle, yet notable 0.7% increase from the 2.303 million who tuned in on September 29th.

Intriguingly, the 18-49 age demographic rating exhibited a parallel ascent from 0.60 to 0.64. This palpable elevation in popularity is arguably attributed to the electrifying atmosphere created by Fastlane, scheduled a mere 24 hours later, in conjunction with the notable presence of several wrestling luminaries such as John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and The Judgment Day.

As the wrestling community conjectures, the ratings thermometer might experience a further increment on October 13th, a date anticipated to unravel both, the aftermath of Fastlane and the much-awaited return of Roman Reigns following an approximately 2-month hiatus.

Judgment Day's Dominance

Anticipation was already riding high with The Judgment Day telegraphing their appearance. The faction, renowned for its dominance, did not disappoint as they unhesitatingly stormed The Bloodline’s sanctuary.

Opening encounters were tinged with hostility as Rhea Ripley extended a proposal to Paul Heyman: a mutual collaboration to navigate through their predicaments, punctuated with a demand for Heyman’s acknowledgment. In an opening match that set the stage ablaze, Fastlane adversaries Charlotte Flair and Asuka coalesced forces to challenge Women’s Champion Iyo Sky and Bayley.

Despite clinching a victory in Friday’s match, the alliance of Flair and Asuka spectacularly crumbled in the nascent moments of the title match at the Premium Live Event. The disintegration transpired when The Empress unleashed a mist on The Queen immediately subsequent to the bell’s resonation.

Sky, consequently, clung to the championship, aided substantially by Damage CTRL. This strategic amplification of suspense and engagement, embodied in unexpected alliances, star-studded appearances, and unforeseeable match outcomes, not only strengthens SmackDown's viewership but also ingeniously seeds anticipation for upcoming events, ensuring the WWE universe remains perpetually on the edge of their seats.
