In a move that shook the wrestling universe, former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill, solidifying a stellar 3-year tenure with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has inked a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Her transition, announced officially on September 26, casts her as only the second performer, following Cody Rhodes, to carve a path from AEW to WWE.

Notably, Cargill, at 31 and a former college basketball ace, fortified her wrestling legacy with a remarkable undefeated streak and a dominant persona in the AEW women's division. Ricky Starks, an established star in the wrestling sphere and known for his proximity to both Rhodes and Cargill, recently opened up about Cargill's monumental move on the "Battleground Podcast." According to Starks, the shift, despite being one of the most significant recent industry happenings, should be seen in a light akin to any professional’s career progression.

"I didn’t think it was a big deal and I still don't think it's a big deal," Starks commented, maintaining a supportive stance for his friend's career choice amidst a sea of variegated social media reactions.

Starks Addresses Controversy

The online community has indeed been ablaze with opinions, some laden with negativity, especially after Starks’ commendatory response to Cargill's transition.

Starks juxtaposed this situation to an earlier instance, wherein leaked footage of his visit to Cody drew similar online ire. He remarked, "I'm only doing these things based on my experience with them... it’s weird when people get mad at me." Meanwhile, tensions in AEW have been perceptible, most notably illustrated by the recent firing of CM Punk following a series of backstage incidents.

Starks, who himself once flirted with the idea of joining WWE, navigated through this tempest, reflecting on his relationship with Punk and the ensuing social media tempest. As Starks navigates the web of relations and potential opportunities in the WWE universe, the potential for a reunion with Rhodes and Cargill in WWE remains a tantalizing possibility, given his substantial talent and interpersonal ties.

Whether or not this will materialize, the wrestling sphere will surely remain riveted by these intersecting careers and potential future alliances in the enthralling world of professional wrestling.
