In a surprising turn of events over the past few weeks, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes managed to secure the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships, holding the titles for a commendable nine-day reign. During this period, they not only successfully defended their belts on WWE's flagship shows, RAW and SmackDown, but also showcased their wrestling prowess.

Their reign was cut short this week when they were dethroned by the duo of Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Following a victorious title defense against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory last Friday, WWE's official Instagram account shared a highlight reel of the match.

In one particular moment, Waller attempts a headbutt on Jey Uso, only to injure himself instead. The social media post was captioned, "Never headbutt an Anoa'i," a comment that drew immediate attention from Jey Uso.

Jey Uso Clarifies

Quick to correct WWE, Jey Uso left a clarifying comment, urging the wrestling organization to "correct that" and use his actual family name, Fatu, rather than Anoa'i.

Though the Anoa'i and Fatu families have a long-standing, interconnected history in the wrestling business, Jey—also known as 'Main Event Jey'—felt it was crucial to distinguish his lineage, especially since he's no longer affiliated with The Bloodline faction on RAW.

As the wrestling world turns its attention to what's next for Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes post their title loss, speculation abounds. The title change comes on the heels of Jimmy Uso making a surprise appearance to deliver a superkick to his twin brother Jey, an act many believe is a harbinger for a highly anticipated grudge match at WrestleMania 40.

For the immediate future, it's likely that Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes will set their sights on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Indications are that both teams will aim for The Judgment Day's titles, with rumors suggesting a triple threat confrontation at the upcoming Crown Jewel event.

This entire unfolding drama could potentially culminate in a War Games Match at the Survivor Series. Given that both The Bloodline and The Judgment Day factions seem to be crossing paths, it appears Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes will have to enlist additional allies to even the odds.
