WWE superstar Baron Corbin recently made headlines not for his in-ring exploits, but for the intense fan backlash he faced following a scripted moment with female WWE sensation, Becky Lynch. During a revealing conversation on the "Insight with Chris Van Vliet" podcast, Corbin candidly talked about his infamous End of Days move executed on Lynch, revealing that the idea originated from none other than WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon.

"It was Vince's brainchild. I was genuinely taken aback when I arrived at the venue. Considering it was in Philadelphia, a city known for its vociferous fans, I knew the reaction was going to be explosive," Corbin divulged. "The fallout was wild, but you know what? Every single death threat made it all the more worth it."

Social Media Backlash

Corbin, who is a former United States Champion, didn't mince words when describing the alarming level of threats he received via social media.

The wrestler's actions ignited a fury among fans, who found the act of a man putting his hands on a woman in the scripted world of WWE to be deeply unsettling. "My DMs on Instagram and Twitter were flooded with messages like, 'I'm going to stab you if I ever see you for what you did to Becky,'" said Corbin.

"This incident was a perfect example of our ability as performers to suspend disbelief. Fans completely bought into that storyline moment, sparking genuine outrage, which in our business, is a sign of success." The "NXT" standout also took the opportunity to commend Becky Lynch, who has evolved into one of WWE's most iconic figures.

Corbin expressed unreserved confidence in her abilities to make the controversial scene work. "The women on our roster are incredible athletes who can go toe-to-toe with the guys, and Becky is the epitome of that," Corbin praised.

"She brings a unique charisma and I knew she could take the End of Days without a hitch. When we discussed it, she was all in. She’s a total badass, the same woman who stood bloodied but unbroken, demanding more. That’s what makes her special." The End of Days move led to Seth Rollins, Lynch's real-life partner and fellow WWE star, retaliating against Corbin in an adrenaline-fueled sequence.

Rollins eventually triumphed, but the night had another twist. Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Rollins, seizing the Universal Championship and leaving fans stunned. This incident serves as a reminder of the complex emotional landscape WWE storylines often navigate, and the lengths its performers will go to entertain.

With this level of commitment from both stars and creators, it's no wonder WWE remains a compelling watch for millions worldwide.
