Former WWE sensation Ronda Rousey is making waves in the indie wrestling scene, confirming her second appearance shortly after her recent return to the ring. Taking advantage of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Rousey teased fans about showing up at Wrestling REVOLVER's inaugural California event.

"How very convenient," Rousey posted, drawing attention to the convenient location of the event relative to her California residence. Wrestling REVOLVER quickly made it official: Rousey will indeed be a part of their debut California show, with tickets hitting the market on Monday, October 30.

The timing is particularly intriguing as WWE has formally shifted Rousey to its Alumni section on WWE.com, following her loss to Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023. The move solidifies speculations that Rousey has parted ways with the world’s leading wrestling promotion.

The "Rowdy" superstar's return to wrestling action was heralded by a surprise appearance at last week’s Lucha VaVOOM event, where she teamed up with close friend and AEW talent Marina Shafir. The duo faced off against Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick, emerging victorious as Rousey cinched a submission win over Kendrick.

The match marked Rousey’s first wrestling competition outside WWE and underscored her capability to succeed in different promotions.

Rowdy Praises Shafir

Following the electrifying match, Rousey lavished praise on both the Lucha VaVOOM show and her tag partner, Shafir, via Instagram.

She boldly claimed that skeptics who doubted their in-ring chemistry were sorely mistaken. Shafir and Rousey share a storied history, dating back to their days as part of the "Four Horsewomen of MMA" along with Baszler and Jessamyn Duke.

Although both were under WWE contracts at different times, the pair never had the opportunity to demonstrate their synergy on WWE programming. With Rousey's exit from WWE now official, the wrestling world is buzzing about what her future holds.

Her recent indie appearances and high-profile partnerships indicate that "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey is far from done with wrestling, and her next chapter could be as compelling as the last. This development has significant implications for both WWE and indie wrestling circuits, as one of the industry's biggest stars appears to be exploring new horizons.
