Dana White on Lesnar Leaving UFC for the WWE

Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Money in The Bank holder. He is also a former UFC fighter and the most successful MMA fighter who also had a background in professional wrestling. He won the UFC heavyweight title once. Is it well known that Lesnar puts business before anything else.

Many people thought that Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Cormier will happen inside the octagon one day. Of course that never happened, as Brock sort of retired from MMA according to UFC President Dana White. Many people were really looking forward to Lesnar’s return in the UFC.

The UFC is now part of the ESPN network. They are no longer following the pay-per-view structure for its events. Many people believe that Lesnar probably chose to stay out of the UFC due to this, as he would not get enough money through UFC’s deal with ESPN.

He used to earn a lot through UFC’s PPV system. White stated that that was not the reason why Lesnar chose to stay outside of the UFC. He stated that he simply got a better offer from WWE CEO Vince McMahon. “'[ESPN is] not why Brock Lesnar didn't fight," White said.

"Brock Lesnar got a better deal is basically what happened for Brock." White also stated that PPV is dying and their deal with ESPN would be better for all people involved. “If you really look when we were on pay-per-view, we were on traditional pay-per-view, everybody was talking about how the pay-per-view business was dying. It's dying and nobody can pull numbers anymore,” stated White.
