In a thrilling night of AEW Dynamite action, three more Gold League Continental Classic matches have concluded, setting the stage for a stacked card at next week's special Winter is Coming edition. But the surprises don't end there, as Tony Khan has something special in store for fans.

AEW announced that The Von Erichs will also be making an appearance at Winter is Coming, scheduled to take place in Dallas. This exciting revelation comes at a perfect time, as the Iron Claw biopic starring MJF is set to hit theaters on the 22nd, potentially adding another layer of excitement to the event.

Among the Continental Classic matches, Winter is Coming will feature three in total, but only one will see two potential winners going head-to-head. Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland emerged victorious in the recent round of matches, with Moxley defeating Rush and Strickland besting Mark Briscoe.

Both Strickland and Moxley are tied at 9 points each, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown that will determine the leader.

Briscoe and Lethal's Tournament Elimination

Unfortunately, Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal's hopes of winning the tournament were mathematically dashed after suffering losses on this eventful night.

Briscoe fell to Strickland, while Lethal was defeated by Jay White, who added 3 more points to his tally. Despite their elimination from contention, both Briscoe and Lethal will continue to compete, potentially throwing a wrench into the plans of the remaining competitors.

Lethal is set to face Rush at Winter is Coming, while Briscoe will square off against White. Another exciting matchup on the Winter is Coming card features Hangman Adam Page taking on Roderick Strong, who made a remarkable return by discarding his wheelchair during the show.

Page has his own issues with MJF and Strickland, but next week his focus will be solely on taking Strong down a notch. While the Winter is Coming lineup is shaping up nicely, one noticeable absence is a Women's Division match.

However, during this episode, a potential setup emerged as Toni Storm retained her AEW Women's World Championship and was confronted by the returning Riho. Storm's attempt to attack Riho backfired as she found herself in the clutches of Luther outside the ring.

Could this confrontation lead to a Women's Title defense at Winter is Coming, or will it be reserved for the upcoming Worlds End event? As the anticipation builds for Winter is Coming, AEW fans can't help but wonder what other surprises Tony Khan has in store for this special edition. Stay tuned for more updates and action-packed moments as AEW continues to deliver thrilling wrestling entertainment.
