John Cena, a name synonymous with WWE greatness, could be gearing up for his final wrestling match, reigniting a historic rivalry with no other than Randy Orton. Cena, who joined WWE in 2002, became a cornerstone of the company before transitioning to a successful Hollywood career.

Despite his reduced in-ring appearances, Cena has left an indelible mark on the sport, securing 16 world titles and clashing with the industry's top names. Over the past five years, Cena's WWE appearances have dwindled, with his focus primarily on his flourishing acting career.

However, he occasionally returns to WWE for significant storylines or major matches, stirring excitement among fans.

Cena vs. Orton: Final Showdown?

As Cena's in-ring career winds down, rumors are swirling about his next WWE run possibly being his last.

If this is true, a fitting finale would be a clash with his long-time rival, Randy Orton, a matchup that hasn't occurred in over six years. Orton, recently back in action after recovering from a severe back injury, missed Cena's latest WWE stint.

Their last encounter was on February 7, 2017, on Friday Night SmackDown, where Cena emerged victorious after a 12-minute about. A rematch could offer Cena a chance to pass the torch to Orton, enhancing The Viper's standing in WWE as he plans to continue wrestling for the foreseeable future.

While Cena's return to the WWE ring isn't confirmed, Orton is set to be a regular presence on WWE television. His current mission? To topple Roman Reigns and dismantle The Bloodline, motivated by the faction's brutal assault over 18 months ago that sidelined him significantly.

Orton's immediate focus is the triple threat match against LA Knight and AJ Styles on January 5, 2024, on a special episode titled 'New Year's Revolution.' This match is pivotal, as the winner will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2024, setting the stage for one of the year's most significant events on January 27.

Will Orton secure a victory and advance to face Reigns, or does Cena have one last WWE chapter to write? Only time will reveal the fate of these two wrestling titans.
