In a heartfelt tribute to WWE executive and Hall of Famer Road Dogg, former WWE star Hornswoggle has expressed profound gratitude for Dogg's instrumental role in the iconic WeeLC match between Hornswoggle and El Torito at Extreme Rules 2014.

Hornswoggle's sincere acknowledgment came during his appearance on Road Dogg's "Oh You Didn't Know..." podcast, where he openly shared his admiration and appreciation for the WWE legend's support and guidance. During the podcast, Hornswoggle, also known for his tenure as a Cruiserweight Champion, delved into the significance of the WeeLC match in his career.

He candidly expressed to Road Dogg, "This is one of those days where you do not get enough credit, enough thanks, and enough praise for what you did, Brian, for me and Torito. You truly, truly don't and I truly mean that. I wrote about it in the book where it's all of that, everything from the start of Torito and I going through the whole thing, you truly don't get enough credit for that.

It's the best thing I'll ever do in my career, I truly mean that. I'll never top that." Reflecting on the challenges he faced, Hornswoggle recounted his mental struggles during that period and highlighted how the WeeLC match brought a revitalizing shift in his career and morale.

He credited Road Dogg, along with Fit Finlay, another key supporter, for their unwavering belief and assistance in making the match a reality.

Hornswoggle also shed light on the unique dynamics of the WeeLC match, particularly its placement on the pre-show in New Jersey, a location known for its highly enthusiastic and interactive wrestling fans, second only to Chicago.

Despite the odds and initial perceptions of the match as a mere humorous act, Hornswoggle and El Torito's intense performance dramatically shifted the audience's engagement, turning the match into an unexpected spectacle of resilience and skill.

"That match being on the pre-show, like in New Jersey, with all of the things involved, it should have failed," Hornswoggle stated. "It was proposed as 'Here's a joke,' and it came off so like, 'Oh, god, they're beating the hell out of each other.'

" The WeeLC match stands as a testament to the unexpected turns and triumphs in professional wrestling, marked by the hard work and dedication of its performers.
