In the dynamic world of professional wrestling, Santos Escobar, a second-generation luchador, has been making waves with his remarkable skills and strategic vision. Escobar, who has already clinched the "NXT" Cruiserweight Championship, recently shared his insights on the future of wrestling and his aspirations in the industry during an appearance on the podcast "Wrestling with Freddie." Escobar, known for his admiration of legendary figures like Rey Mysterio, has now turned his attention to Dragon Lee, a rising star in WWE.

Despite their intense rivalry, which culminated in a heated confrontation at Survivor Series, Escobar holds no resentment towards Lee. Reflecting on Lee's rapid ascent to the main roster and his impressive performance in a Premium Live Event match, Escobar recognized the undeniable potential in his contemporary.

Escobar's Hybrid Vision

However, Escobar's approach to the ring goes beyond traditional luchador wrestling. In his podcast appearance, he revealed his intention to forge a unique style, blending the lucha libre with American wrestling techniques.

"That's what I wanted, that was my aim, that was my vision. But the truth about this is, if you stay lucha, you stay lucha, and I want to create a hybrid. Try to bring my style with the American style, so that when anyone watches the show, [they] will connect," Escobar explained.

This innovative approach is part of a broader strategy to broaden his horizons in WWE. Escobar expressed a strong desire to square off against top-tier WWE stars like Randy Orton and Roman Reigns. By diversifying his wrestling style, he aims to break out of the traditional luchador mold and make himself a versatile contender capable of taking on any challenger.

"Also, because I want to work with Randy, I want to work with Roman, I want to work with everyone out there, and keeping myself in a box is not going to help me," he stated emphatically. Escobar's vision for his career and the wrestling industry as a whole speaks to a deep understanding of the sport's evolving landscape.

His willingness to adapt and innovate not only showcases his dedication to his craft but also signals exciting developments for fans of WWE. As Escobar continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be a luchador in today's wrestling world, his journey will undoubtedly be one to watch.
