Stephanie McMahon talks about WWE’s charity efforts

After making only sporadic appearances for several years, Stephanie McMahon began appearing regularly on Raw in 2008 as the Raw brand general manager before disappearing once again. By mid-2013, McMahon returned to regular on-air appearances in the WWE, this time under the gimmick of an unctuous, judgmental, bullying owner along with on-screen chief operating officer, her husband, Triple H.

From 2013 to 2016, they acted as a power couple known as The Authority, making what were often shady decrees while claiming only to be concerned for "what's best for business," all the while romanticizing each other in the process with public displays of affection.

The Authority would later expand into a stable, with its co-leaders being Triple H and herself. During an event in Orlando, Stephanie talked about WWE’s charity efforts: “I take a moment to reflect about being a part of WWE every single day, because I think gratitude is a really important practice,” McMahon said.

“And our mission is to put smiles on people’s faces the world over. So to hear you say that that what you think of when you think of WWE is joy, is happiness, that is what it’s all about. Whether we do it through our entertainment or giving back to the community, and to have the chance to interact, you know, later today I’m actually shooting a part of the ‘My Wish’ series for ESPN, which is celebrating Make A Wish.

I have the privilege of being someone’s wish, and I cannot think of anything more humbling than that. I’m going to actually hear a business pitch from a 16 year-old girl named Riana, and she’s from the UK”.
