In a recent dialogue on "Busted Open Radio," Mickie James, the former WWE Divas Champion, voiced her concerns about an apparent oversight at the WWE WrestleMania XL Kickoff event. James highlighted the absence of this year's women's Royal Rumble victor, Bayley, from the proceedings, describing it as a significant oversight not just to Bayley herself but to the women's division as a whole.

James expressed a sense of personal affront on behalf of Bayley, stating, "If I were in her shoes, I would've felt somewhat neglected. It seems to me as a subtle yet unmistakable disregard, not solely towards the women's division but specifically towards her." She lauded Bayley as an unparalleled talent within the wrestling world, often undervalued despite her consistent contributions.

Furthermore, James pointed out that Iyo Sky, Bayley's adversary and former ally in Damage CTRL, was equally neglected by not being featured in the press conference. She praised Bayley's work ethic and her role as a steadfast fixture on WWE programming, underscoring the significance of not sidelining her, especially when opportunities for main event prominence are infrequent.

"Her work is invariably stellar... She truly stands out as a leader," James remarked. James depicted Bayley as a selfless contributor in an industry where self-promotion often takes precedence, suggesting that this altruistic nature might be why Bayley is sometimes overshadowed by more dominant personalities.

The event's representation of the WWE women's division included notable figures like Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair. A potential clash between Ripley and Lynch was hinted at, stirring anticipation for a showdown at WrestleMania.

Nonetheless, James was not alone in her disapproval of Bayley's exclusion; Thunder Rosa also shared her discontent, perceiving it as a detriment to the event. This sentiment comes amid broader criticisms facing the company and its former executive, Vince McMahon, adding layers to the ongoing discourse surrounding representation and recognition within WWE.
