Michael Chandler was all the rage in WWE RAW on Monday night after showing up in an electrifying visit by his longtime rival, Conor McGregor. It has been reportedly postponed that they will face each other in the much-awaited battle at UFC 300.

It happened in the backdrop of UFC 298, organized on Saturday, February 17. In fact, the night was as much high-octane as the matches themselves when WWE superstar CM Punk featured in a wrestling ring after a gap of nearly ten years.

Similarly, Chandler's placement at Monday night RAW, in the front row, only fanned the flames of conjecture and excitement. WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin introduced Chandler to the Anaheim crowd, which set him up to deliver one of his typically electric speeches.

"Anaheim, you're in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet," Chandler proclaimed. Then he said: "There's this guy from Ireland who's been keeping me waiting far too long. Conor McGregor, it's time to settle our unfinished business.

Get back in the Octagon."

McGregor-Chandler Feud Escalates

The Chandler-McGregor animosity has been building more than a year with both fighters taking their feuding to war of words outside the Octagon. Set to take place at UFC 296, the fight never happened since McGregor hadn't been adhering to the UFC six-month drug testing policy, hence a shift of the year-end headline event.

Fans were buzzing with excitement for the rematch at UFC 300, an event that UFC President Dana White quashed with the announcement of the headliner of the main event. Headlining the main event will be Alex Pereira defending his light heavyweight championship against former champion Jamahal Hill.

With the MMA world still ringing over Chandler's call-out of WWE, the sports world awaits McGregor, which is sure to only put another exclamation point on the ongoing war of words between the two.
