Since Vince McMahon stood down in 2022, the head creative direction of WWE has fallen under the leadership of Triple H. But it truly does seem as if the playing field is about to change with swirling rumors around Brian Gewirtz maybe being the new man up next.

Change is The Rock re-engage with WWE, not only from the screen side but also from the behind-the-scenes staff, by pulling along Gewirtz to work with the creative team. Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, on his podcast "83 Weeks," shared that there could be more meets the eye with the comeback of The Rock and a whiff in the air regarding tension and bad blood between The Rock and Triple H that goes back 20-plus years.

On his part, heaped praises on him, calling him a 49-year-old "creative genius" and maybe the appreciated thing to do is to hint that his leadership in the Creative Department could as well be an appreciated thing. "While I have great respect for Triple H and his accomplishments, the inclusion of Brian Gewirtz is something that would help inject a fresh perspective into WWE's storytelling," said Bischoff.

SmackDown Rivalry Rumors

A resurfaced long-dormant rumored rivalry found life once again on SmackDown as Triple H took potshots at The Rock, perhaps sparking speculation of an eventual showdown between the two behemoths down the line.

Now, while the angle of WrestleMania 40 continues to get discussed, credible sources like Mike Johnson from PWInsider are flatly debunking these rumors. He said that there is no chance in hell that a match like that would happen, considering the health of Triple H, mostly regarding his heart condition.

This new layer of a story within the WWE has all the fluidity of its creative storyline and the potential to change the future role of even the heroes that have reached legend status in its script. This must remain a part just as interesting if the WWE continues, over time, to keep people around the world interested in what takes place in the ring.
