Nearly six weeks after enduring a significant injury, WWE Superstar Seth Rollins is on the brink of a triumphant return to the ring, just in time for the highly anticipated Road to WrestleMania. Rollins, who suffered a Grade 2 MCL tear along with a partial tear of the medial meniscus in his left knee, has revealed he's mere days from receiving medical clearance to compete once more.

This timely recovery sets the stage for his upcoming defense of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, where he is slated to face Drew McIntyre, the victor of the 2024 Men's Elimination Chamber. In a candid conversation with "The West Sport," Rollins shared insights into his preparation and mindset as he eyes his return.

"With 20 years in the game, I've got a fair idea of what I'm about," Rollins remarked. "Still, I always find I'm at my peak when I'm actively competing. Whether I'll step into the ring before WrestleMania isn't solely my call, but it's something I'm certainly open to."

Plans Change for Rollins

The original plan was for Rollins to defend his title against Bronson Reed at the 2024 Elimination Chamber event in Australia on February 24.

However, Rollins' knee injury prompted WWE to revise their storyline, and with Reed's unexpected family developments — his wife Paige delivering their baby girl ahead of schedule — Reed chose to remain stateside, foregoing the opportunity to compete in his homeland.

This series of unforeseen events has led to a reshuffling of WWE's plans leading up to WrestleMania. As Rollins navigates his recovery and potential pre-WrestleMania match, fans and insiders alike are closely watching how these developments will influence the landscape of WWE's flagship event.

With the grand spectacle of WrestleMania 40 on the horizon, Rollins' journey back to the ring adds an intriguing layer to the already electric anticipation surrounding the event.
