Kazuchika Okada's AEW Debut Date Revealed

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) fans are on the edge of their seats as reports indicate that a major storm is brewing in the world of professional wrestling. "The Rainmaker," Kazuchika Okada, is rumored to be making his highly-anticipated debut in AEW very soon, potentially changing the landscape of the promotion.

According to Fightful Select, there are whispers of Okada joining the AEW roster as early as March 6th during the "AEW Dynamite" episode scheduled in Atlanta, Georgia. AEW President Tony Khan, in a recent media call prior to the Revolution event, teased a significant surprise for the upcoming "Dynamite" episode.

Speculation is rife that this surprise could be none other than Okada himself, making his appearance after Will Ospreay's full-time debut against Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution, and just before "AEW Dynamite: Big Business" on March 13th.

The latter event is also when the former IWGP Women's Champion, Mercedes Mone, is expected to make her debut.

Okada's NJPW Farewell

Okada has been a pivotal figure in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) for the better part of the last decade, holding multiple heavyweight championships and winning the G1 Climax tournament.

His decision to part ways with NJPW after his contract expired in January sent shockwaves through the wrestling world. Okada wrapped up his NJPW commitments in February, culminating in a match at NJPW New Beginning In Sapporo Night 2 on February 24th.

Teaming up with Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI, and Toru Yano, Okada's team emerged victorious against a formidable lineup that included Matt Riddle and members of the United Empire. Notably, at the time of his departure from NJPW, Okada was part of the reigning NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions alongside YOSHI-HASHI and Hiroshi Tanahashi, marking his first non-world title in the promotion.

Their 266-day reign showcased the versatility and enduring appeal of "The Rainmaker." Okada's move to AEW marks him as the third significant former NJPW talent to join the promotion in March, signaling AEW's commitment to bolstering its roster with top-tier international talent.

Wrestling fans and analysts alike are eagerly awaiting the impact Okada will have on AEW's dynamic and how his legendary status will translate in the American wrestling scene.
