Becky Lynch Discusses Memoir, 'The Man,' in New Interview

WWE superstar Becky Lynch, known as "The Man" in the wrestling world, is on the brink of adding "published author" to her illustrious list of titles. Lynch, who is also a mother and the current front-runner for the WWE Women's World Championship, is gearing up for the release of her memoir, also titled "The Man," on March 26.

In a revealing conversation on "Busted Open Radio," Lynch shared insights into the genesis of her book, a project she confessed has been in her mind for years, paralleling her aspirations in the wrestling ring and her dream of headlining WrestleMania.

Reflecting on her upbringing, Lynch credited her father for instilling the habit of documenting her life's journey. "My dad always pushed me to write everything down," she shared, highlighting the significant influence wrestling icon Mick Foley had on her.

Identifying with Foley, a figure known not for his athletic prowess but for his sheer determination, Lynch saw in him a mirror of her own aspirations. "Mick Foley was my guy...when he wrote a book, I immediately thought, 'I should write one too,'" Lynch mused with a laugh, noting her father's likely hope that she would pursue writing full-time.

Beyond the Ring

Lynch's memoir promises to transcend the world of wrestling, delving into the motivational struggles and personal growth that marked her path to stardom. She openly discussed the external and internal challenges she faced, including battling the self-doubt that often whispered she wasn't good enough.

The memoir, as Lynch describes, is a testament to the blend of her father's idealistic encouragement and her mother's pragmatic, unwavering work ethic—a combination that fueled her "wacky dream" and her relentless pursuit of it.

Lynch's narrative is not just a recount of her wrestling career but a deep dive into the resilience and hard work behind her journey to becoming "The Man." Through her story, Lynch aims to inspire others to navigate their doubts and critics, armed with a dream and the determination to achieve it.
