In a recent conversation that shed light on WWE's latest episode of SmackDown, wrestling aficionado Dutch Mantell provided insightful commentary on the emerging talents in the wrestling world, notably Jade Cargill and Dakota Kai.

The SmackDown episode in question was notably devoid of its usual headliners such as Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Cody Rhodes, presenting an opportune moment for new stars to shine. During this week's broadcast, viewers witnessed the eagerly anticipated main roster debut of Jade Cargill, alongside Dakota Kai's remarkable performance in the main event facing off against Bianca Belair.

Despite the absence of some of SmackDown's quintessential attractions, the episode was anything but lackluster, thanks to the commendable efforts of its female superstars. Speaking exclusively with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast, Mantell, a revered figure in the wrestling community with years of experience under his belt, referred to this week's SmackDown as a "maintenance show" in the grander narrative of the Road to WrestleMania XL.

Yet, it was in this setting that the prowess and potential of the female talent roster were unmistakably spotlighted. Mantell reserved particular acclaim for Dakota Kai, a member of the formidable Damage CTRL faction, highlighting her as an underappreciated gem within the industry.

He marveled at her ability to stand toe-to-toe with the best, underscoring her performance against Belair as proof of her top-tier talent.

Stars Shine Brightly

"Jade Cargill looked great, she looked good, and Dakota Sky [Kai].

I hadn't paid much attention to Dakota Kai before. That girl is really good, really good. She can hold her own with all of them, and Jade Cargill looked fantastic. There were parts of the show that just put me to sleep. That's what maintenance shows do.

They just remind you, hey this is what we've got coming up, but we can't give all of it away here on this TV show. It was a good maintenance show, I guess, but I almost went to sleep in the middle of it," Mantell conveyed, emphasizing the blend of anticipation and the subdued excitement that typifies shows en route to major events like WrestleMania XL.

This recent episode of SmackDown, despite its quieter moments, served as a critical platform for highlighting the immense talent and potential of WWE's female wrestlers, promising exciting dynamics and matchups as the Road to WrestleMania XL continues to unfold.
