The wrestling world surely embraced Jade Cargill with open arms controversy-free after her stunning appearance on WWE's SmackDown last night. Fans could not help but draw similarities with her debut and the big earlier appearance of Mercedes Mone in AEW's Big Business event.

Cargill was succinct but impactful with the little promo like Mone's introduction in AEW. The similarities wouldn't stop there, though, as Mone interrupted the match of the evening in order to save Dakota Kai and Naomi, just like Cargill saved Skye Blue and TBS Women's Champion Julia Hart.

This argument then took to Twitter or X, where a user explicitly accused WWE of copying AEW's segment for the introduction of Cargill. Many fans, however, defended the position and argued that far more eyes had seen Cargill’s debut, indicating that star power was bigger for her than for Mone.

"Except a million more people saw Jade," a fan commented, highlighting the massive reach of WWE’s platform.

Jade SmackDown Impact

Jade Cargill's entrance into the WWE universe on Friday Night SmackDown was anything but low-key.

She made an immediate impact as she joined hands with Bianca Belair and Naomi to face the mighty Damage CTRL. Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell commended Cargill when he joined the SmackDown on Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk podcast, also praising Dakota Kai's performance.

Mantell said that while the show did serve as a placeholder to remind fans of attractions to come, it was the standout performances of Cargill and Kai that did keep the audience engaged. Joining Belair and Naomi, Cargill will make her group opposite Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai from Damage CTRL at WWE WrestleMania XL.

It will be an event that is touted as a career-defining experience for the newly signed AEW star to make a debut at the grand stage of WrestleMania this April. With the echoes of an impactful debut still resonating and reverberating across the world of wrestling, heightened anticipation for none other than perhaps a defining moment for Jade Cargill on the grandest stage of them all—WrestleMania XL.
